Google has more AI talent, more data, and more computing power than any company on Earth. Gemini is what happens when all that firepower gets pointed at the consumer AI market. And the result is both impressive and frustrating — a technically capable AI that feels like it was designed by committee rather than with a clear vision of what it should be.

What Gemini Does Well

Google ecosystem integration is the killer feature. If you live in Google's world — Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive — Gemini's integration is genuinely useful. Having AI that can read your emails, summarize your documents, manage your calendar, and search your Drive from a single interface adds practical value that standalone AI cannot match. This is Gemini's clearest competitive advantage.

Real-time information access is excellent. Gemini leverages Google Search to provide current information during conversations. For questions that require up-to-date data — current events, recent research, live pricing — Gemini's integration with the world's best search engine gives it an edge over Claude, which has no web access.
